This policy summarizes what SmartTrips.app collects, why it is used, and where billing data is handled.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as your email address, authentication provider details, preferences, and subscription status. We also process the trip content you create, including destinations, notes, routes, budgets, collaborators, and shared itinerary data.

We may collect usage, device, browser, approximate location, diagnostics, and security information to operate the product, prevent abuse, measure feature performance, and improve reliability.

How we use information

We use information to provide the planner, save and sync trips, generate AI responses, enable sharing, process exports, manage subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

Trip information may be sent to AI, mapping, geocoding, weather, analytics, billing, hosting, database, and observability providers when needed to operate the feature you are using.

Billing data

Paid checkout and billing are handled by Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle processes payment details, tax information, invoices, receipts, and buyer support data under its own buyer terms and privacy notice.

SmartTrips.app receives subscription and entitlement information from Paddle so the app can unlock the correct plan features.

Sharing and public pages

Private trips are intended for your account and invited collaborators. Public share links, templates, and creator pages can be viewed by anyone with access to the link and may be indexed by search engines unless marked otherwise.

Do not include sensitive personal information in public trip pages or shared notes unless you are comfortable making that information available to viewers.

Retention and choices

We keep account and trip information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain backups. You can request account or data deletion by contacting support.

You may use browser, device, and email settings to control some analytics, notification, and storage behavior. Some processing is required for the service to work.
